This pattern is in English

Pearl Socks are a pair of quick and easy socks worked in a broken rib pattern. You can choose between working the socks from the toe to the cuff, or from the cuff to the toe. The heel is shaped using the German Short Rows method.

Sizes: 35-38 (39-42) 43-46

Width: 10 cm (11 cm) 12 cm [4 (4.3) 4.7 inches]

Suggested needles: 4.0 mm [US 6] double pointed needles, or 80 cm [32 inches] circular needles if you are using the Magic Loop technique

Gauge: 20 sts x 30 rows in stockinette stitch on 4.0 mm [US 6] needles equal 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches]

Materials: 100 (100-150) 150 g Perfect from Sandnes Garn (50 g = 100 m) or Peruvian Highland Wool from Filcolana (50 g = 100 m) or 100 (200) 200 g Cash Sock Chunky from Gepard Garn (100 g = 183 m)

Peruvian Highland Wool is a great yarn if you don’t want socks with nylon, or that isn’t superwash. The socks, on the other hand, will not be as durable.

Size 39-42: if you knit the cuff 3 cm shorter, you only need 100 g Perfect or Peruvian Highland Wool

Difficulty: 2 out of 5
